The operator sets its own fee
Each payment operator or licensed gateway charges its own fee, and the fees differ. It is set in your agreement with them, so it is variable.
Planned pricing. Applies once Steadi Pay is live.
There is no setup fee and no monthly fee. Steadi Pay takes 1% of each successful sale, as the platform. The payment operator or licensed gateway you use charges its own fee, and that differs from one operator to the next. You see the exact amounts before anyone confirms.

Two separate fees. We only get paid if the payment succeeds.

Our fee is 1% of the sale, as the platform. It is the same for every way of paying.

For mobile money and bank payments, pass the fees to the customer as one handling fee, or cover them yourself. For card payments, you cover the fees.
Same sale. Same fees. The only change is who pays them.
You keep the full sale. The customer pays the sale plus one handling fee at checkout: the operator's fee and Steadi Pay's 1% added together. You receive the sale amount. Examples use a sale of MWK 10,000.00.
1.5% example
An example only. Operator fees differ from one operator to the next, so your real fee is the one in your agreement with your payment operator or licensed gateway.
The operator fee in the example is only an example. Real operator fees differ. Checkout always shows the exact amounts for that payment before anyone confirms. Card payments: you cover the card fees. Customers are not charged extra for paying by card.

Steadi Pay's fee is fixed at 1%. Operator and gateway fees are not ours to set. They differ from one operator to the next, so the 1.5% in the example is only an example. Your real operator fee is in your agreement with them.
Each fee is a percentage of the sale, and the two are added together. As an example only, if the sale is MWK 10,000, the operator's fee is 1.5% and Steadi Pay's is 1%, the two together are 2.5%, which is MWK 250.
Yes, for mobile money and bank payments: either the customer pays the fees at checkout, or you do. We set this up with you when your account opens, and you can ask us to change it later. When the customer pays, they see one line called handling fee. Card fees are always covered by you, and customers are not charged extra for paying by card.

Settlement timing depends on your provider account and shows in your dashboard.
Steadi Pay's 1% is either paid by the customer at checkout, as part of one handling fee, or invoiced to you monthly. It is never taken out of a payout. You can authorise a debit from your own wallet or bank to pay those invoices. That mandate pays invoices only.
The customer pays the sale plus one handling fee at checkout. It covers the operator's fee and Steadi Pay's 1%, so you receive the full sale.
Yes, on invoiced gateways only, measured on fees owed. A new account can owe up to MWK 25,000. After 2 invoices paid on time the limit is MWK 100,000. After 6 it is MWK 400,000. A debit mandate doubles it. We warn at 80 percent and block new live checkout at 100 percent until you pay.
The invoice first shows a one-time MWK 5,000 administrative charge plus 2.5 percent simple interest per month, capped at 25 percent of that invoice. Those lines appear on the next invoice. After the grace period, live keys pause. Sandbox keeps working. Paying restores live access.
